Hannah Montana Dolls
In March of 2006 the Disney Channel released the show that was soon to become its most popular show to date, Hannah Montana. The show stars Miley Cyrus who plays an average teenage girl named Miley Stewart. Miley is an average teenage girl who is living a double life. She is a regular high school student during the day bur transforms into the world famous pop singer, Hannah Montana at night. In the show, Brooke Shields plays Miley’s mother and her father is played by her real life dad, Billy Ray Cyrus. The show has captivated young audiences since it was released and has spawned a wildly popular line of merchandise based on the show. The merchandise includes toys, clothes, DVDs, CDs, and the popular Hannah Montana dolls.
There are over two hundred Hannah Montana dolls that serve many different purposes. Generally, the dolls are intended for girls, ages six to twelve to play with. However, there have been some Hannah Montana dolls that have been released that are strictly intended to be collectors’ items.
Hannah Montana dolls are sold individually or as part of a collection. There are actually only two collections that feature five dolls, the Hannah Montana “In Concert” collection and the Hannah Montana “Fashion” collection.
The “In Concert” collection dolls are musical dolls. Each doll sings one song from the hit show; either ‘Best of Both Worlds’ or ‘The Other Side of Me’. Each doll is dressed in a replica of one of Hannah Montana’s outfits from the show. The dolls also come quipped with a microphone and hair brush. As an added bonus, inside the packaging is a little girls’ bracelet and an authentic looking backstage pass.
The “Fashion” collection is comprised of three dolls. These dolls do not sing. The purpose of the dolls is to allow little girls to recreate the concept of the television show. Each doll comes with replicas of three outfits worn in the show; two worn my Hannah Montana and one worn my Miley Stewart. The dolls also come complete with wigs and accessories to successfully complete the transformation from Miley to Hannah Montana.
Hannah Montana doll collection would not be complete if did not include her friends. You can find Hannah Montana dolls and her friend Lola in some of the play sets. The “Pop Star Party” play set contains a Hannah Montana doll, a Lola doll, two chairs, and a table. To get the girls in a party mood, the “Pop Star Party” play set also comes with a sampler CD of Hannah Montana music from the show.
There is also a Hannah Montana doll stage set. Little girls really enjoy this fun play set. It includes one Hannah Montana doll, two Hannah Montana outfits featured in the television show, and a stage for the doll to “perform” on. The best part of this play set is that the stage can actually connect to any iPod or mp3 player. Girls get the chance to create their own Hannah Montana concert as the stage becomes the speakers.
As stated, there are many Hannah Montana dolls in this popular collection of toys. However, no doll collection would be complete without a place for the doll to live and of course, a mode of transportation. Barbie as the Barbie Dream House and the 57 Chevy. Hannah Montana has a Malibu Beach House and a tour bus. But because she is also a world famous pop singer, Hannah Montana dolls can also be coupled with a sound stage, a video set, the secret backstage closet featured in the show, as well as with a styling salon.
You certainly cannot have an empty Malibu Beach House. Where would the Hannah Montana dolls eat, sleep, and play? The Disney Channel has it all figured out. Although the Beach House comes with a small amount of furnishings, full sets can be purchased separately. This would include furnishings for the Beach House’s bedrooms, living room, and kitchen. There is also a Hannah Montana doll swing set to accompany the Malibu Beach House.
Hannah Montana doll collection features Hannah Montana dolls for special occasions such as the Hannah Montana “Holiday” doll which is sold during Christmas season. There are dolls that dance to popular Hannah Montana music. The Hannah Montana doll collection also includes child sized dolls. These are more of a collectors' item than a toy to be played with.
In 2009, the Disney Channel released Hannah Montana: the movie. The movie was a huge success. Following the success of the movie came an additional line of Hannah Montana merchandise. This included adding new line of Hannah Montana dolls to the already popular collection. These Hannah Montana dolls are based on some of the fan favorite situations in the movie. They also come complete with clothes and accessories that Hannah Montana wore in the movie.
For any Hannah Montana fan, the Hannah Montana dolls are a must have. Girls all over the world are playing with Hannah Montana dolls. These dolls will continue to gain popularity as long as the show does.
